The federal government has been partially shut down for 26 days now and some local groups are finding ways to help relieve some of the stress felt by workers without a paycheck.

Explore Buffalo is offering free downtown tours to furloughed employees.

During the winter months there are two tours available: the "Inside Downtown North" and the "Inside Downtown South."

The tours take you through the Electric Tower, Market Arcade, the Old Post Office and other historic and notable sites.

In order to take advantage of the free offer, guests will need to show a government ID. The offer is good for two adults and any children that might tag along.
