Have a child that gets a little anxious when you leave?

An Alden mom may be able to lend a helping hand.

Debbie Rutkowski uses her Pocket People to help kids through difficult situations.

Each one is handmade to look like the person of a customer’s choice and they are small enough to be kept right inside a pocket.

Rutkowski came up with the idea when her oldest son started kindergarten.

She created her smaller self to help with the separation.

Four years later, she's sending mini mommies and daddies all around the world and helping kids and parents one pocket at a time.

"I have been in tears reading their stories because I know what it’s like to be a mom and see them struggle and say you have to go," she said.
