He's ready for his spotlight: Sabres winger Jeff Skinner has been voted in by the fans to participate in this year's NHL All Star Game.

The Sabres have taken to social media all week, reminding fans to vote for the standout player who was snubbed in the inital line-up.

On Thursday, the Blue and Gold tweeted a video with his figure skating-based skills on full display.

Skinner is Buffalo's leading scorer.

He is also tied for second in the NHL with 26 goals this season.

That's just three behind Washington's Alex Ovechkin.

Skinner will join linemate and team captain Jack Eichel for the game January 26.

Also voted in by the fans are Colorado Avalanche left wing Gabriel Landeskog, Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Legant and Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl. More than 11.5 million votes were cast between January 3 and 10 as part of the Last Man In ballot.
