More than two dozen young Bills fans were very special guests during the team’s first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

Their tickets were provided by the Bills. They were taken to the game in style by the Buffalo Police Department.

The officers are part of the department’s Neighborhood Engagement Team.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron Lockwood said the children were selected from several neighborhoods across the city for the big night out.

“I’m excited for the kids. This is one of the plans we’ve been putting together since I became commissioner,” he said. The department wants to “do things with (the kids) that they normally don’t get to do everyday.”

For some of the kids, it was their first time going to a Bills game.
