A summertime hot spot is still cleaning up after being broken into Thursday night.

Sunset Grill's managers say the restaurant's safe was broken into and the entire space was turned upside down, including the ice cream machine emptied onto the floor.

They're offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who has information that will lead an arrest.

Even though this was disheartening for the small Silver Creek business already affected by COVID-19 closures, managers say the community's support has been overwhelming.

"They've been calling us, texting us, it's on Facebook and everybody is sharing it. Everybody is calling, stopping down, asking to help us, doing all they can basically. The cops have really stepped up and done a lot for us also," said manager Wendy Daniels.

The best way to support Sunset Grill? Stop by and order a hot dog or two.

It's open every day from noon until 8 p.m. until Labor Day.
