Jaclyn Cangro joined the Spectrum News Capital Region team in February, 2017. She was born in Westchester County and loves reporting in her home state.

Jaclyn is inspired each day to make sure viewers have the information they need. If there’s a breaking news scene, she’s usually there.

As a dedicated reporter, Jaclyn had the opportunity to work on a half-hour documentary about a loophole in state law, which for decades allowed private high schools to not report allegations of sexual abuse. Jaclyn spoke exclusively with survivors of sexual abuse and school administrators who were coming to grips with their past. Since the release of this documentary, that loophole has been closed.

When not on TV, Jaclyn can most likely be found cheering for the New York Mets or hanging out with her rescue pup, Eleanor.
