"You pretty much have to make your own spot and hope no one takes your spot by the time you go around the block.,” said Troy resident Kevin Casuras.

That is the story for pretty much the entire Capital Region.  A necessity in Troy after the first snow emergency was put into effect in two years.

“It looks like they did a pretty good job with the streets, we heard them rumbling pretty early in the morning,” said Guinevere Rollins, another Troy resident. “As far as snow removal goes it looks better than it has in years.

Yes it can be inconvenient. But most of the people we talked to are just trying to make the best of it.

“I’m from Los Angeles,” said Hana Chehade. “It’s pretty. Even here shoveling for two hours so that’s giving us a workout.”

Nuisance or not, the storm is really bring but the best out of people.

“We were just doing some work for my landlady and came across some people that needed help, so we did,” said Rollins.

“It definitely shows how people should help one another.  I just have some neighbors who needed help.,” said Casuras.

The recent snowfall has prompted multiple cities and towns across the region to declare snow emergencies.
