Ulster County officials are expanding their child care coverage in order to help more residents in the region.

County Executive Pat Ryan says his office is expanding the Project Resilience Child Care Initiative to allow for hundreds of families to now participate in the program.

$200,000 in coverage will be made available to help those in need of assistance.

The United Way of Ulster County is also partnering with the county executive’s office by offering scholarships for school-aged children to attend programs throughout the county.

The infusion of funding into the program should cover child care benefits for families entered in the program for the next six weeks.
