Representatives Antonio Delgado and Sean Patrick Maloney announced that $1.8 million in emergency transit funding is coming to Dutchess County.
The money is from the federal CARES Act.
It's going to support public transportation, like buses, in the coronavirus comeback.
The leaders say the money will help to offset additional costs, and the loss of many riders during this time.
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is welcoming the help, saying it will also help to keep riders and staff safe and healthy.
