Fresh out of West Orange High School in New Jersey, Colin Morgan was looking forward to joining his older brother at the United States Military Academy next month.

That excitement was shared by older brother Christopher Morgan, who predicted that Colin would do well, calling him a great addition to the long grey line in a story recently posted on the West Orange High School website.

Tragically, Christopher would not live to see his prediction come true. He was killed Thursday in a crash near the academy.

A group of cadets were en route to an early morning training exercise when their vehicle rolled over. The accident injured 20 cadets and two soldiers, prompting some parents to drive hours toward to Orange County just to make sure their kids were all right.

Expected to graduate next year, the 22-year-old Morgan had taken up law and legal studies, and was also a valued member of the Army wrestling team. His coach remembered his infectious personality, saying he had a smile big enough to fill any room.

A memorial ceremony for the West Point community and private funeral service will be held at the academy next week.
