Community members and local businesses want to help out after tragedy strikes a local family.

Jennifer Parisella was the mother killed in a car crash on November 17, while riding in the car with her children and brother. She was five months pregnant at the time.

Her daughter was taken to the hospital with critical injuries; her son and brother were both in stable condition.

As a way to help out the family, and honor Parisella's memory, Equilibrium Brewery hosted a fundraiser on Friday. Organizers poured beer at the Draft tent with ten percent of the sales going towards the Parisella and Mendoza family.

"It's important because this is home, this is Middletown. It's where we are from. We want to support the people that support us and do our best to help this family that needs it the most," said William Rivera, Manager Equilibrium Brewery.

Mix and Mac also donated food for those who attended the event. The money donated from the event will go to GoFundMe for the family.
