The Hudson Valley Kidz Expo took over the SUNY Orange Field House in Middletown this weekend.

The expo comes through the Times Herald-Record, which put it together for the third year in a row Saturday.

Among this year's activities were a smoothie-making bicycle, and a special guest, Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce.

"I'm fortunate enough to have a family, and we look for things to do all the time, so one of the reasons we chose October, we want to make sure school was, you know, kind of back in session. No summer vacations, but this is important. We all work, right, we all work really hard, and if you can have a special day like this, that's what we want to create,” said Anthony McFarlane, Times Herald-Record advertising director.

McFarlane says the expo began with the goal of just creating a fun day for kids and their families.
