TOWN OF ESOPUS, N.Y. -- Congressman John Faso believes a town hall meeting Thursday was a success, but it did not come without criticism. The small venue of Esopus Town Hall allowed only around 200 people to attend.

The sometimes-heated meeting covered a range of issues, including taxes, Planned Parenthood funding, the president's proposed border wall, and more.

"You can please all the people, all the time, but this was a very healthy dialogue people had a chance to ask a question, and get an answer," said Faso, R-19th District. "That was better than some of the other so-called town halls we've seen around the country which simply dissolved into shouting sessions."

The event was an effort from the Republican congressman and citizen action group Move Forward New York.
