KINGSTON, N.Y. -- Some of the best athletes in the Hudson Valley came out to Kingston for the HITS Triathlon Series.
The Triathlon included a swim in Williams Lake, a bike around the Ashokan Reservoir, and finished with a run on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail.
There were five different races, ranging in difficulty.
Organizers say this is really a family event.
"HITS is an organization that believes in family, this is a very family-centric race," race director David Kiviat said. "With five distances you can come root one-another on, race your race and they can root for you, you can root for them, I mean it's just a fabulous family-centric race."
Organizers say they will hold the event again next July.
