A Hudson Valley area teacher is now a Jeopardy champion.

Francois Barcomb, originally from New Paltz, won the Jeopardy Teachers Tournament, with his victory reaching the airwaves Friday night.

The final round came down to a clue about National Geographic. Barcomb, who teaches in Westchester County, leaves with a $100,000 grand prize. He was one of two New York State teachers to reach the final round of the tournament. Troy Prep High School's Conor Quinn came in second.
