Joshua Stuart, the man police believe fired a gun at the Ellenville Regional Hospital, has been captured.
Stuart was last seen in Brooklyn on Monday morning after police say he allegedly robbed a store clerk at gunpoint.
They say he then took off in a 2005 Honda Pilot.
After a statewide manhunt, US Marshals in Brooklyn apprehended Stuart around 5 p.m. Monday.
They say that after briefly chasing him on foot, Stuart went into a canal trying to escape. But police managed to pull Stuart out and arrest him.
His charges are now pending.
