Congressman Antonio Delgado (D-19) introduced a program he hopes will become a new tradition in the 19th District.

The first-term congressman launched the District's first Veterans Resource Fair in Hudson Friday.

The fair is a one-stop shop for veterans to find help applying for jobs, accessing health care and more.

Getting the word out about resources for veterans is something those in the armed forces care about deeply.

One veteran who now works as an educator says a fair like this one helps him continue to serve.

"My attitude when I was in the military was, I always took care of my troops, and now I spend my life taking care of the veterans," said Gary Flaherty, Veteran Services for Columbia County director.

Friday's Veterans Resource Fair was held at Columbia-Green Community College's Professional Academic Center.
