This year's election cycle often felt hyper-partisan, with party affiliation mattering more than the individual candidate.

But some groups still took a bi-partisan approach in their endorsements and donations. That includes the Trailblazers political action committee, which focused on races for municipal and county offices, and backed people who the members felt were truly committed to their principles. On election night, half of the candidates they backed ended up winning.
