Dry weather will continue for much of this weekend. However, we may have to dodge a few showers by late Sunday.
Saturday is looking great for outdoor activities with dry conditions and highs well into the 70s.
Sunday should be just about as warm. While most of the day will be dry, a few scattered showers are expected by evening.
We could certainly use the rain with the dry conditions leading to the fire danger across the state in recent days.
We'll see a higher chance for rain by late Monday. We'll need to keep an eye on that part of the forecast through the weekend, as that rain could come with stronger storms by Monday evening.
The entire state will stay dry for the first half of the weekend. Rain chances will then be higher in western North Carolina on Sunday.
The wet weather there should hopefully help firefighting efforts around the mountains and foothills.
