A few snow showers will continue south/southeast of Lake Ontario tonight resulting in minor accumulations of a fresh coating to 2 inches. Lows will generally be in the 0s and 10s but for areas that see more clearing to the north of Syracuse, temperatures will manage to bottom out in the -0s. Tuesday is shaping up to be partly sunny with lingering lake effect flurries/snow showers south/southeast of the lake. Any additional accumulation looks to be minimal. Be prepared for another colder than average day with highs in the 10s and 20s.

Wednesday will start out dry and quiet; however, a new system will allow for snow showers to develop from south to north through the afternoon and evening. As milder air attempts to build in Wednesday night, more of a wintry mix is expected to develop.

Even though we'll have a few leftover scattered rain/snow showers to contend with on Thursday, it'll actually be our mildest day of the week with temperatures topping out in the upper 30s and low 40s. At this point, the forecast calls for more of these 40s for daytime highs over the weekend.
