Tonight will be blustery and cold with widespread snow continuing into Sunday morning. Snow will continue to intensify tonight with snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour expected at times. The heaviest snow will fall tonight through Sunday morning, making for extremely difficult and dangerous travel conditions. Even though the heavy snow looks to wind down Sunday afternoon, we still won't be in the clear. Snow showers will continue and stronger winds will result in not only blowing and drifting snow but sub-zero wind chills as well. Many spots will end up with a 12-18"+ of snow by early Sunday evening.

The harshest wind chills are forecast for late Sunday night into Monday, with feels like temperatures in the -10s, -20s and possibly even -30s! This is the kind of cold we need to be smart about by bundling up, covering up any exposed skin if you do have to head outdoors and limit your time spent outside.

Accompanying the brutal cold on Monday, there will be a few scattered snow showers to contend with as well. Quieter weather should be with us Tuesday and temperatures are on track to improve approaching midweek.
