Growing up in Central New York has familiarized Courtney Furtado with all the different weather patterns common to this region.
While storm chasing in the Midwest in the spring of 2009 she even witnessed her first tornado!
Whether it be lake-effect, Nor’easters, water spouts, severe thunderstorms, or even a tornado, her degree in meteorology from SUNY Oswego has prepared Courtney to take on these forecasting challenges.
