EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The East Syracuse Fire Department was busy Christmas morning.

Crews were called to Falso Drive for a report of a vehicle fire around 2:40 p.m.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department, deputies were responding to a burglary alarm when they noticed smoke in the area.

When firefighters arrived, 11 vehicles and a tractor trailer were on fire. It took crews more than two-and-a-half hours to put it out.

All vehicles were a total loss. Officials say the fire was difficult to battle due to the amount of gas burning.

No one was injured. The sheriff's office says they do not believe it was suspicious, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
