The Syracuse Crunch kept rolling toward the postseason on Friday night with a 4-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Friday's win, as well as being the Crunch's 12th consecutive home win, was the 221st for coach Benoit Groulx, making him the winningest coach in franchise history.
Remi Elie opened the scoring about halfway through the first period with a goal right under the pad of Tommy Nappier. Elie added another point in the second period with a perfect pass to Simon Ryfors for the goal to take a 2-1 lead.
In the final minutes of the second, captain Gabriel Dumont rifled home a one-timer for his 30th goal of the season. Alex Green added an empty-netter in the last minute to seal the win.
Syracuse will play its last game of the regular season on Saturday night against Laval, and will then prepare for the Calder Cup playoffs, with either Laval or Belleville waiting in the North Division semifinal round.
