New Syracuse University men's lacrosse coach Gary Gait was on the sidelines for his team's intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday.

Before Saturday, the team had only done individual workouts. So this game was the first time the group had really played together in a competitive way.

It was a lot of fun to watch for the fans because there were a lot of creative goals scored for the Orange team and the White team.

After the contest, which the White team won 13-8, Gait and his guys said they're really excited about what is to come for the program.

"There's definitely some great players on this team already,” Gait said. “On the offensive end for sure. Other guys are starting to show what they can do. We've got to find the right mix to make it work and score a lot of goals this year.”

"Tucker had some fancy goal,” SU midfielder Brendan Curry said. “You'll see a lot more stuff like that which is fun and makes us enjoy the game even more.”
