Syracuse basketball won their first game of the season against Colgate 70-54.

The Orange were led by Buddy Boeheim, who finished with 17 points with 3 three-pointers on the night. Bourama Sidibe finished with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

As a team, Syracuse shot 28-55 from the floor, just under 51% overall. 

Jordan Burns scored 12 points for Colgate while Nelly Cummings scored 10 points for the Raiders. The Orange held the rest of the team to under double-digit scoring, with the Raiders shooting 30% from the field.

Syracuse moves to 1-1 on the season and will take on the Seattle Redhawks on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
