There’s good news for Syracuse baseball fans, but not so good for Tim Tebow.
The aspiring major leaguer has been cut from the Mets big-league roster.
Instead, Mets officials have indicated that Tebow will begin the regular season at Triple-A Syracuse.
The former Heisman Trophy winner went 4-for-15 in spring training this year. He still may be used in some pre-season games, but his eventual landing spot will be Syracuse.
Opening Day at NBT Bank Stadium this year will be on Thursday, April 4.
