The 2019 Syracuse football schedule was released on Wednesday.
After the Orange finished the 2018 season with a 10-3 record which featured SU going undefeated inside the Carrier Dome, they’ll look to continue that success next season.
Here’s a look at the 2019 slate for Syracuse:
August 31: at Liberty
September 7: at Maryland
September 14: vs. Clemson
September 21: vs. Western Michigan
September 28: vs. Holy Cross
October 10 (Thu): at North Carolina State
October 18 (Fri): vs. Pittsburgh
October 26: at Florida State
November 2: vs. Boston College
November 16: at Duke
November 23: at Louisville
November 30: vs. Wake Forest
The first thing that Orange fans will have their eyes on is September 14. After starting their first two games on the road for the first time since 2010, the Orange will have their hands full in their home opener as they host the defending national champion Clemson Tigers. Syracuse upset the Tigers in their last visit to Central New York 27-24 in 2017.
After Clemson visits the Dome, the Orange will play at North Carolina State on Thursday, October 10 and return home on Friday, October 18 against Pittsburgh. Since the 2010 New Era Pinstripe Bowl, the Orange are 15-3 in non-Saturday games.
SU will end the season at home against Wake Forest. It's the first time since 2012 that Syracuse will not end their season playing either Pittsburgh or Boston College.
Syracuse's 2019 opponents had a combined record of 83-69 in 2018, with seven teams qualifying for bowl games last season. Three of those teams were victorious in their bowl games (Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest).
