This Wisconsin native made his way to Central New York in 2003, and has been a part of the community longer than he’s lived anywhere else in his life. For Mark, it doesn’t get much better than Dinosaur BBQ, pizza frites and Byrne Dairy chocolate milk at the New York State Fair (one of his annual traditions)!
Mark has been with Spectrum News since we launched in November of 2003 and is constantly inspired by the passion of the Syracuse University fans and the tremendous athletes and coaches he has the privilege of knowing well. Mark takes a lot of pride in Spectrum News’ high school football show “First and 10”, which is 15 seasons strong and has won multiple awards. He’s also fortunate enough to have covered three Final Four games, including SU’s cinderella run in 2016, which are memories he’ll hold on to forever.
Although he’s constantly keeping up with sports (specifically the Wisconsin Badgers), you can find Mark spending time with family, golfing, trying new restaurants or enjoying a Blue Moon when he’s not working. According to him, the Green Lakes golf course clubhouse patio is one of the finest places on earth to spend a few hours on a warm summer evening.
