The National Transportation Safety Board released hundreds of pages on the Schoharie limousine crash investigation on Wednesday.
The documents include interviews from family members and friends of the victims, along with witnesses to the crash. One of the victims was texting a friend from inside the limo that day and told her it was extremely loud and texted "the limo sounds like it’s going to explode."
Two witnesses who were interviewed told state police the vehicle pulled off to the side of the road twice shortly before it crashed.
Twenty people were killed in the October 2018 crash – 17 passengers, the limo driver, and two pedestrians. Prestige Limousine operator Nauman Hussain has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and second degree manslaughter.
Many of the victims have been outspoken about their opposition to a potential plea deal for Hussain in this case.
