Brad Vivacqua was born and raised in the Mohawk Valley, so it’s no surprise that his favorite thing to do in the area is attend Syracuse University basketball and football games. Brad has been going to games since he was a kid, was a student there when the basketball team won the National Championship in 2003, and has been to a few thousand games (and climbing) in his lifetime. Combining work and pleasure, he’s lucky enough to have reported on more than 30 big games across the country.
Brad has been a reporter at Spectrum News for 16 years and is inspired by meeting new people and learning something interesting every single day. Although he’s covered quite a few meaningful stores, the ones that come to mind include following parishioners from Syracuse to Philadelphia, PA to cover the Papal Visit in 2015 and covering breaking news of three police officer shootings in the Mohawk Valley.
Brad now resides in Liverpool and enjoys working out, relaxing, and spending quality time with family and friends. Brad also has some strong opinions about the foods for which the area is known, and the best places to get them: Brass Track in Frankfort for Chicken Riggies, Roma’s in Utica for Tomato Pie and Holland Farms in Yorkville for Half Moons.
