The auto maker on Thursday recalled almost 90,000 Land Cruisers and Lexus LX 570 SUVs from 2008 through 2019 over a safety issue that involving the front passenger seat belt. Toyota says the seat belt's tension sensor could malfunction, deactivating the passenger's air bags.

Toyota is working on a fix and will notify vehicle owners by mid-February, it said.

Additionally, about 47,000 Tacoma pickup trucks from 2018 to 2019 are being recalled over a brake seal issue that could result in leaking brake fluid. Toyota dealers will replace the brake master cylinder at no cost, and owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late January, the company said.

Toyota didn't say whether either problem has caused any crashes or injuries.

Earlier this week, Toyota announced a safety recall of some Corollas, Sequoias, Tundras and Lexus SC vehicles. About 65,000 vehicles from 2002 to 2005 are involved.
