Two people have died following shootings hours apart in the city of Syracuse Friday.

The first happened on Westcott Street, just before 3 p.m.

Police say a 37 year old was shot in the stomach.

He was brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The second shooting happened on the 2000 Block of East Fayette Street just after 10 p.m.

Officers say a man in his 30s was shot in the stomach.

He was also brought to the hospital, where he later died.

Both investigations are ongoing.
