The search continues on Wednesday for a murder suspect in Seneca County, near the Waterloo Premium Outlets.

State police say the man is wanted in the investigation of a homicide that took place Tuesday afternoon.

At around 1:40 p.m., State Police responded to a reported physical assault at an apartment building on Seneca Avenue in Oneida Castle.

There, EMS and State Troopers found Tyler A. McBain, 22, dead in his home.

Police say witnesses and neighbors heard an argument coming from the apartment, and then saw a man run from the apartment and get into a dark-colored SUV before fleeing the scene.

Officials say a crash occurred after a trooper attempted to stop the suspect's vehicle near Nine Foot Road and Route 318 in Waterloo at around 2:45 p.m. Two men reportedly then fled the scene, and allegedly ran towards the Thruway.

A person of interest has been taken into custody, while a second suspect is still at large.

State Police say that the man who fled may be heading back to the Rochester area.
