Two people were killed when a stolen car crashed in Syracuse over the weekend.

According to Syracuse Police, officers responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of Hiawatha Boulevard and Spring Street around 5 a.m. Sunday.

The vehicle, which had been reported stolen prior to the collision, crashed into a cargo trailer.

The driver, Donte Haynes, 31, and a front-seat passenger, Asia Davis, 25, both of Syracuse, were both killed in the crash.

The remaining four passengers were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
