However, in some parts of New York and the country, lead pipes put children and adults alike at risk of serious health impacts.
New funding from the state and federal government seeks to get those lead pipes out and keep our drinking water safe.
Rob Hayes, the director of clean water at Environmental Advocates NY, joined Capital Tonight on Monday to talk about the need to get rid of these pipes and the resources that have been made available to do so.
