The New York state Division of the Budget has released its mid-year update to the state’s financial plan.

The update details how much tax revenue is coming into the state’s coffers, and whether spending is on track with projections.

While the labor-backed Fiscal Policy Institute (FPI) believes the state is in a much stronger fiscal position than it was, the group wants Gov. Kathy Hochul to rethink the planned sunsetting of certain corporate tax increases.

FPI’s Executive Director Nathan Gusdorf spoke with Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter.
