Democratic U.S. Sen. Kirstin Gillibrand is seeking a third full term as the junior senator from New York, but first she’s got to go through Mike Sapraicone.

Sapraicone is a former New York City police detective who currently runs a private security firm called Squad Security.

He’s also the Republican Party's pick to challenge Gillibrand in November. He joined Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter on Monday to discuss his candidacy.
