New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Tuesday presented to the Legislature her vision of New York’s state budget.
Coming in at over $233 billion, it’s the largest in state history – and that’s before the Legislature weighs in.
Once the Legislature and the governor come to an agreement on a final spending plan for the state, the budget will be passed. The deadline is April 1.
Capital Tonight host Susan Arbetter was joined Wednesday by the architect of the governor’s spending plan, Budget Director Blake Washington, who discussed several issues including education funding and economic development, as well as the possibility of budget reform.
