Republican Congressman John Katko says he does not support his party's proposed plan to replace the Affordable Care Act.

Katko says while he believes the ACA is a failure, the current proposal is not enough.

He says the plan does not address what he calls out-of-control costs and does not provide adequate insurance options.

Still, Katko does believe the plan has some promising reforms.

He said in a statement in part, “The Administration and Leaders in Congress deserve credit for starting this process.  But we should take the time to ensure a viable market-based alternative to Obamacare is ready simultaneous with the repeal. I believe we can get there.”
