Republicans in the state Senate are facing a long road back to the majority and regain what had been their final lever of power in Albany. 

Senate Minority Leader Robert Ortt, in an interview with Capital Tonight, said he believes his conference will still play a key role in the 2023 legislative session in Albany. 

Ortt expects issues like cashless bail to still dominate the conversation in Albany. And he discussed how Gov. Kathy Hochul's approach to governing with Republicans could differ from her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo.
