Chaos continues to unfold in Afghanistan as Americans and Afghan allies try to evacuate the country following the takeover by the Taliban. It marks a devestating end to America's longest war.
Derek Coy, the veterans' health officer at the New York State Health Foundation, said in an interview on Capital Tonight there is an increase in services used by veterans whenever major events like this occur.
At the same time, veterans who served in Afghanistan are facing a mix of emotions amid the chaotic evacuation. Retired service members are also pushing for the government to aid Afghans who provided support to U.S. troops during the conflict and now may be targets of the Taliban.
