ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A vote on replacing the roof at Tropicana Field, damaged in October by Hurricane Milton, has been delayed until next month.
According to our news gathering partners at the Tampa Bay Times, the City Council vote that was scheduled for this week will now take place April 3.
The roof repair project is expected to cost $22.7 million.
The Times reported that the council is working on contract details.
The city is contractually obligated to fix the Trop for the 2026 baseball season, and officials say they are still on track for that.
The Tampa Bay Rays will play their 2025 regular season schedule at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa.
