Broadband internet access used to be a luxury, but it's increasingly a need for many.

A partnership between Charter Communications and national and local governments is now helping to ensure homes and small businesses can utilize Spectrum's Gigabit Broadband Service.

It's part of Charter's multi-year Rural Construction Initiative.

"I know that this is a big step forward for our town and I'm just so grateful that we were able to make this happen," said Preston Town Supervisor Zachary Meseck.

Charter Communications is the parent company of Spectrum News. For those who wish to learn more about this service in the town of Preston, head to Spectrumruralexpansion.com.
