According to No Kid Hungry New York, 4 in 5 New York households say that it's been harder to afford groceries over the past year. That's why they are reminding families that Sept. 3 is the deadline to apply for summer EBT benefits.
The federal program offers $120 per child to help New Yorkers put food on the table.
