New York State Troopers have a tough job, and it was made tougher over the past few years due to conflicts of interest and alleged mismanagement by people who headed up their union.  

But the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association cleaned house at the top of their ranks and the new leadership has proposed a series of reforms.

The new president as of a year ago, Charles Murphy, has over 20 years under his belt as a trooper, and spoke with Capital Tonight’s Susan Arbetter about some changes he’s implemented.
