Syracuse football opens up its 2024 season at the Dome on Saturday afternoon against the Ohio Bobcats out of the Mid-American Conference.
Saturday's game will be Fran Brown's first as head coach of the Orange. Brown says the Orange can have a successful season if he and the guys can conquer one day at a time.
"If you are schedule-oriented and follow the schedule at least 80% of the way, you'll be successful," he said. "Imagine if I have my players, 112 guys following a schedule and are living that way and they can follow it, just imagine all of us when you were in college and you followed your schedule 85% of the way. Imagine us trying to do that and that is all we are trying to do. Just daily living. Because those days become weeks, those weeks become months, then the months become years. And before you know it, hopefully, you can be one of those people talking about you can have our name on a building somewhere."
Brown says he is confident in the roster he and his staff put together. Saturday's game kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
