Stifling heat and humidity continue across New York state this weekend.
But depending on where you live, it may not be as intense as it was earlier this week.
With some intense temperatures popping up across the state recently, the term "heat wave" was thrown around quite a bit by many.
But did any areas officially hit that metric? Meteorologist Ashley Stanley joined Camille DeLongis to discuss the term.
She says a heat wave is when temperatures are far above average for multiple days in a row. That became true for some parts of the state on Wednesday, including Rochester, Syracuse and Albany.
