There are many parts to planning a wedding and most of the big day celebrations cost thousands of dollars, and with more people shoping online for their wedding, business experts are warning consumers that four out of five scams happen online.

"Photographer, florists, DJ’s — it’s best to meet them in person before you sign a deal and make sure that you always get a contract and know exactly what’s in it. What’s the cancellation policy? Know what the plan is going to be the day of, so there aren’t any surprises," said Katarina Schmieder, upstate New York communications director for the Better Bsuiness Bureau. 

When it comes to payment for these type of services, Schmieder says ask to set up payments rather than paying the full balance of a service up front. She also said to always pay with a credit card for better protections from fraud or scams.
