Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band postponed all their performances scheduled for September, including Thursday's show at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse and a Sept. 19 show at the MVP Arena in Albany, Live Nation announced Wednesday night.
Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease, Live Nation stated, adding that medical advisors advised the "Born in the U.S.A." rocker to postpone the remainder of this month's shows, which also includes dates in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Columbus and Washington, D.C.
Ticketholders will receive information regarding rescheduled dates for the postponed shows. Springsteen had to postpone a March 14 show in Albany earlier this year.
“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows," Springsteen is quoted as saying. "First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some. Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon."
